Accomplish Your Fitness Goals

Among one of the New Year’s most popular resolutions for many people is the desire to work out more and achieve peak fitness. While the intentions are good, keeping the motivation past the first few weeks is often a challenge for some. Coupled with the fact that it takes some time before physical results are evident, and you can see why many people fall of the exercise wagon by the time spring rolls in.

While many individuals who adhere to fitness routines confess to having started at an early age, there’s no reason you can’t find the consistency and motivation to keep going, even if it’s the first time you are exercising. Consider the following tips.

Temper your expectations

The most beautiful architectural masterpieces in the world took time to build, so have reasonable expectations about the gains you will make. Rather than aim for achieving a high level of performance in a short time, start at a comfortable level and work to slowly build your strength, stamina, and conditioning.

It doesn’t have to be boring

Choose routines and workouts that are not only effective but exciting as well. Have a list of activities that you find enjoyable and incorporate them into your workout. Additionally, have inspiring music playing along every time you exercise.

Lastly, you don’t have to exercise at the gym only. Find additional ways of being active, like taking the stairs at work, walking to the grocery store, finding friends to have fun with at the park.

Owning a Record Label

There are people who love music, then there are people who are music lovers. It’s what separates the casual iTunes downloader from the music collector with thousands of records in their home. That deep love of music doesn’t reside in many people’s hearts, and those that qualify sometimes take it a step further and start their own record labels.

While many people have a relaxed attitude about running a record label, the music industry is serious business and it is easy to get into trouble if you don’t pay attention. That means sourcing for as much advice (legal and professional) even as you venture into the business.

Choosing the genre

Creative types like musicians hate the term as it makes them feel boxed in a category, where they would love for their work to transcend boundaries. However, there’s a reason most record companies are built to target a specific market.

Perform some bit of research and find what other you can offer than other people aren’t.

Setting up the roster

Many record label owners are either musicians or fans. As such, it may be tempting to sign up all your music-making friends and let everyday be a blast (if you are not planning to take the business too seriously). However, if you want to taste success, you aim is to be objective/selective and find talent that people can gladly give up hard earned money to listen to. A relentless pursuit for excellence will come in handy at this point.

Extra tip: When it comes to the business side of things (money, contracts, and licenses), have everything in writing, and always be willing to learn.

Cephalic Service Center, LLC is a Midwest based provider of merchant services such as debit and credit card processing. Natris Morris says that most people don’t understand what happens after they pull out a credit card to make some purchase, beyond the obvious: they leave a store with a new item in a bag, and at the end of the month the charge for that purchase shows up on their credit card statement.

He says that a credit card transaction usually has two phases. The first is the purchase, when the card holder buys something and charges it to their credit card. In the second phase, money is transferred from the card holder to the merchant who made the sale. The first phase usually happens as soon as the purchase is made and the charge is submitted, and the merchant gets paid quickly. The second phase takes place later one and is usually done in batches at the end of a business day.

Credit card purchases are usually done in one of two different ways: the kind where the card is presented in a store or at the point of purchase, or in an e-commerce transaction when the customer buys something online or over the phone. The fees that are associated with the credit card purchase vary, Natris Morris says, depending on what kind of transaction it is, and consumers should know about those differences.

Natris Morris – Screenplay Development

Natris Morris is a self-made man: an entrepreneur who recorded and released an album of his own rap music on the Shatter Dreams Music label, released a second album on the label he founded himself, and the founder, owner and operator of Cephalic Service Center LLC, a provider of merchant account services such as debit and credit card processing based in Champaign, Illinois.

He is also a creative writer who is developing his own screenplays. Like any other creative writer he is concerned with the elements of the story he wants to tell, and what the best way to structure it might be. He has taken the time-honored approach of repeatedly watching and analyzing those movies that have meant the most to him and have had the most impact on him as a viewer, and applying what he learns to his own creative process.

The movies that have the greatest impact are those with compelling characters that capture the emotions of the viewer and get them involved in the story. As Natris Morris determined from his own viewing experiences, he and other audiences have not only become interested in those characters, they have identified with them and become passionate about them, even in those cases where the characters are not especially likeable. Movie heroes have inspired him, while movie bad guys have made him want to stop the villain himself.

Good movies always have a main character who has something important at stake, who really stands to lose something if things don’t go his way. These things must drive the story forward, Natris Morris has learned. He has also learned that it’s one of those things that sounds easier than it is, but he is determined to turn the story he wants to tell into a compelling screenplay

Natris Morris: No Frigate Like a Book

He has also expressed himself through creative writing and is interested in writing screenplays.

His personal interests include studying history and literature. There is a lot about literature that he finds valuable. It has the power to transport him from an easy chair to another place far removed from his surroundings, and see life and life experiences through the eyes of another person. That helps him to understand the lives of other people and see things in a new and different way. He says that this is best summarized in a poem by Emily Dickenson, who wrote, “There is no frigate like a book/to take us lands away/nor any coursers like a page/of prancing poetry…” One of the best things that Natris Morris has experienced through an exposure to literature is that it has made him a better writer.

Natris Morris says that it troubles him that young people today do not seem to read as much as other generations of people, like his parents’ generation. He says he doesn’t know for sure, but one reason for that may be the explosion of technology over the last twenty-five years or so. With so many technological distractions today it can be hard for young people to appreciate something as profoundly simple as a collection of printed pages enclosed between two covers.
